Dear Summer,
i used to love you.
but this year, you've been a real b*tch.
global warming had temps down & my personal flames waning.
i was living in a cold war.
stand-offish.
"i never dreamed you'd leave in summer"
but that's what it is.
blew out my invisible candles
and watched us go up in smoke.
now, i've never been more ready to layer up,
watch leaves change colors,
& let the wind take all the icky feelings far far away.
